I. Purpose and Scope of Application
This method outlines the procedure for conducting a concrete impermeability test, which is used to evaluate the waterproof performance of hardened concrete and determine its impermeability rating.
II. Equipment Required
The necessary equipment includes a concrete permeameter, a mold for forming test specimens, a screw presser, and sealing material. These tools are essential to ensure accurate and consistent testing results.
III. Test Procedure
1.
After the test specimen has cured, remove any surface debris, clean the surface thoroughly, and brush both ends with a wire brush. Once dry, apply a thin layer of molten sealing material around the sides of the specimen. Immediately place it in a pre-heated test mold or oven on the screw presser, ensuring that the bottom of the specimen is flush with the mold. Allow it to cool, then release the pressure and install it in the permeameter for testing.2.
During the test, start the water pressure at0.1MPa
and increase it by0.1MPa
every8 hours
. Continuously monitor the end faces of the test specimens. If any of the three specimens show signs of water seepage, record the current water pressure and stop the test immediately.IV. Calculation of Test Results
