Millet TV 4A has been a highly popular series this year. With the upcoming Double 11 shopping festival, Xiaomi has launched the new 4C series of Millet TVs exclusively available on Tmall. The models include 43-inch and 55-inch versions, priced at 1849 yuan and 2649 yuan respectively (with special Double 11 offers). These prices are very close to those of the 4A series—1899 yuan for the 43-inch and 2599 yuan for the 55-inch. So, the big question is: which one should you choose between the 4A and 4C?

Starting with the 55-inch version of the Millet TV 4C, the configuration is largely similar to the 4A. The main difference lies in the design. The base features a simpler herringbone pattern, which looks more elegant than the 4A's. Additionally, the front panel has a narrower frame, measuring just 0.9cm. The plastic shell has also been upgraded to a piano paint finish, giving it a more premium look compared to the 4A’s etched matte finish.

However, there is one downside: the infrared sensor on the 4C is located on the left side of the camera (facing the TV), whereas the 4A places it in the center of the bottom frame. This change might be less convenient for users who rely on the remote control. It also makes the integration of power switches and infrared functions less intuitive.

Now, looking at the 43-inch version of the 4C, the hardware configuration is slightly weaker than that of the 4A. Specifically, the 4C comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, while the 4A offers 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Although the 4C is 50 yuan cheaper, the reduced specs make it less appealing. The design improvements, such as an arched base and piano paint finish, are nice touches, but they don't compensate for the lower performance.
Overall, the differences between the 4C and 4A are subtle. The 4C offers a more modern look and slight design upgrades, but the 4A still holds its ground in terms of performance. If the price of the 4A drops further during the Double 11 sale, it would be the better choice for most users.
