I. Purpose and Scope of Application

This method outlines the procedure and steps for conducting a cement concrete impermeability test. It is designed to evaluate the waterproof performance of hardened concrete and determine its impermeability rating.

II. Equipment Required

The necessary equipment includes a concrete permeameter, a molding test mold, a screw presser, and sealing material. These tools are essential for preparing and conducting the test accurately.

III. Test Procedure

1.

After the test specimen has cured, remove any surface debris and clean it thoroughly. Use a wire brush to gently scrub both end faces until they are free of loose particles. Once dry, apply a thin layer of molten sealing material around the sides of the specimen. Immediately place it into a pre-heated test mold or an oven on the screw presser, ensuring that the bottom of the specimen is flush with the mold. Allow it to cool, then release the pressure and install the specimen in the permeameter for testing.

2.

During the test, start with a water pressure of

0.1MPa

. Every

8 hours

, increase the pressure by

0.1MPa

. Continuously monitor the end face of the specimen. If water penetration is observed on any of the three specimens, record the current water pressure and stop the test immediately.

IV. Calculation of Test Results

S = 10H - 1

Where:

S

- Concrete impermeability grade

H

- Water pressure at which the third specimen begins to show seepage
