1. Introduction

LED explosion-proof lamps are widely known for their brightness, but sometimes they can be too glaring. Why does this happen? How can we reduce this issue? Traditionally, glare is minimized through different light distribution patterns or by reducing luminous flux. However, there's another crucial factor that is often overlooked—color temperature. Choosing the right color temperature can significantly improve the lighting experience and ensure a more comfortable working environment.

2. Technical Parameters

Color temperature is a key parameter in determining the quality of light emitted by a lamp. The bluer the light, the higher the color temperature. Conversely, warmer tones have lower color temperatures. Lamps with color temperatures below 3300K produce a warm, cozy feel, while those between 3000K and 5000K offer a balanced, refreshing ambiance. When the color temperature exceeds 5000K, the light becomes cooler, brighter, and potentially more glaring.

In industrial settings where LED explosion-proof lamps are commonly used, it’s advisable to avoid very high color temperatures. A moderate range of 4000K to 5000K is generally recommended. This range closely resembles natural daylight in the afternoon, providing a comfortable visual environment without causing eye strain or discomfort to workers. It also helps regulate mood and enhance productivity in the field.
