1. Inspection and Repair of Servo Motor: ● Monitor Vibration and Noise: While the servo motor is in operation, constantly observe its sound and vibration. Based on your senses, it should not be louder or more vibrating than usual. ● Visual Inspection: Clean the surface with a soft cloth or an air gun if there are stains or dirt. ● Insulation Resistance Test: Perform this at least once a year. Disconnect the motor from the servo unit and use a 500V megohmmeter to measure. A reading above 10 MΩ is considered normal. If the resistance is 10 MΩ or less, contact the service department for further assistance. ● Replace Oil Seal: This should be done every 5,000 operating hours. Remove it carefully after mechanical disassembly. Note that this is only applicable to servo motors equipped with oil seals. ● Comprehensive Maintenance: It is recommended to perform a full maintenance check every 20,000 hours or 5 years. ● Do Not Disassemble or Clean the Motor Yourself: Always consult a professional technician for any internal repairs. ● When Measuring Resistance: Choose one phase between the motor power lines (U, V, W) and the PG signal line for accurate readings. 2. Maintenance of Servo Drive Unit: Although the servo drive unit does not require regular servicing, certain checks should be performed at least once a year. ● Cleaning: Keep the unit and circuit board free from dust, debris, and oil. Use a dry cloth or compressed air for cleaning. ● Tighten Screws: Check all terminal blocks and connectors annually. Ensure that no screws are loose. If found loose, tighten them immediately. ● Inspect for Damage: Examine the casing and components on the circuit board for signs of discoloration, cracking, or burn marks caused by overheating. ● Environmental Conditions: Make sure the unit is installed in a well-ventilated area and avoid placing it near heat sources or moisture-prone zones. ● Regular Monitoring: Even if no issues are apparent, it's good practice to monitor the performance of the drive unit periodically for early detection of potential problems.
