VxWorks 653 is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platform for providing safety-critical, integrated modular avionics (IMA, Integrated Modular Avionics) applications, which are now used by more than 165 customers and more than 60 Models of aircraft.
As part of Wind River ’s trusted system product lineup, VxWorks 653 provides a rigorous IMA foundation that enables companies to meet the safety, reliability, portability, and reusability requirements of global avionics applications. VxWorks 653 is supported by a complete set of COTS certification documents, which fully complies with the provisions of Appendix 2 of Part 1 of ARINC 653, and expands the configuration function of ARINC 653 XML, thus becoming a true full support for RTCA DO-297 and EUROCAE ED-124 IMA standards Platform. The DO-178C A-level certification documents provided by the platform can also be used for certification of global airborne systems, rail transportation systems, and industrial systems.
