Wu Dong said that Huawei's goal is to become a leading ITC solution provider in the enterprise market, mainly by providing a wide range of products and service portfolios to ensure the high security and reliability of enterprise ITC infrastructure and network.
Last year, Huawei’s corporate business revenue was $3.12 billion, and this year it is expected to exceed $4.2 billion. In the $3.12 billion in revenue last year, corporate networking revenues in the Chinese market increased by 32% year-on-year, while international market revenues increased by 25.6%.
Wu Dong said: "The market outside China will increase even more this year, especially in the Middle East. This part of the business is just getting started and business opportunities are unlimited. In the future, our focus will be on corporate business. Network services are shifting to flexible network solutions. Such as automation and on-demand services."
At this conference, Huawei also released the latest solution Agile Network 3.0, and began to embrace the SDN (software-defined network) era.
Research firm IDC expects the market for SDN technology in the enterprise and cloud service provider sectors to reach $3.7 billion in 2016, compared to $306 million in 2013.
Fan Ruiqi, president of Huawei's storage products, also said last week that Huawei plans to become the world's third largest data storage service provider by 2018. Fan Ruiqi said: "We not only want to become China's No.1, but by 2018 we have to become at least the world's third largest data storage provider."
