CEVA and Mindspeed expand partnership to meet LTE-Advanced small cell

CEVA and Mindspeed, a small cell system-on-chip (SoC) solution manufacturer, announced the expansion of their strategic partnership. CEVA provides Mindspeed with the CEVA-XC4000 DSP for the next-generation LTE-Advanced multimode small cell Transcede SoC Licensing. Mindspeed was licensed and used CEVA-X and CEVA-XC DSP in its previous generation LTE SoC. Currently, Mindspeed is working with multiple operators for mass deployment.

Mindspeed's first CEVA-XC4000-based products are Transcede T3400 and T4400 SoCs. These SoCs utilize CEVA-XC4000 1GHz DSP processing speed and advanced multi-core functions to meet the needs of dual-mode smart enterprise small base stations and metrocells. Support the simultaneous operation of 3G (HSPA / HSPA + or TD-SCDMA) and LTE / LTE-Advanced (LTE FDD or TD-LTE), CEVA-XC4000 provides a powerful software-defined platform for the Transcede product line to achieve a clear The roadmap from 3GPP Release 10 (LTE-A) to Release 12 (LTE-B).
