Chen Zhong said that due to different standards, Taiwanese businessmen invest in Xiamen, the LED products produced can not meet the mainland standards, and the LED companies in Xiamen are OEMs of Taiwanese manufacturers, and the products produced may not meet the requirements of the other party. It is necessary to develop common standards.
Chen Zhong said that the School of Physics and Mechanical Engineering of Xiamen University has established cooperative relationships with dozens of semiconductor lighting companies in the city to provide technology research and development, technical support, talent training and testing services.
Chen Zhong said that most of the patents in the LED industry are in the hands of foreign companies, and they are subject to high patent fees. He revealed that in response to the problems in product quality and key technologies of the LED industry in the city, the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau will organize leading enterprises such as Hualian Electronics and Sanan Electronics to jointly carry out key technologies for high-efficiency and high-power semiconductor lighting. To solve the intellectual property issues of key technologies, and give certain financial support, through the combination of industry, education and research, to enhance the level of the semiconductor lighting industry in our city.
