The Tamagawa rotary transformer, referred to as a resolver, is a signal component whose output voltage varies with the rotation angle of the rotor. When the excitation winding is excited with an AC voltage of a certain frequency, the voltage amplitude of the output winding is in a sine and cosine function relationship with the rotor rotation angle, or maintains a proportional relationship, or a linear relationship with the rotation angle within a certain range of rotation angle. It is mainly used for coordinate transformation, trigonometric calculation and angle data transmission, and also can be used as a two-phase phase shifter in an angle-to-digital conversion device.
