1, good electrical performance
Fiber-reinforced polyester materials used in the manufacture of electrical products have the following electrical properties:

Insulation protection and creepage indicators meet DIN/VDE standards. This material not only has excellent electrical insulation, but also maintains good dielectric properties at high frequencies, is immune to electromagnetic effects, and does not reflect electromagnetic waves. These properties are far from being comparable to metal materials.
2, chemical resistance
Fiber-reinforced polyester materials have good corrosion resistance to acids, dilute alkalis, salts, organic solvents, and seawater, while metallic materials are not resistant to acids and seawater.
3, light and strong
Specific strength and specific modulus are one of the indicators to measure the bearing capacity of materials. The specific modulus of fiber-reinforced polyester materials is similar to that of steel, but its specific strength can reach four times that of steel.
4, good fatigue resistance
The tensile strength of fiber-reinforced polyester materials is slightly better than that of steel materials. The fatigue limit of steel materials and most metal materials is 40%-50% of their tensile strength, and the fatigue limit of fiber-reinforced composite materials is generally higher than this. A value of up to 70%-80% can be achieved.
5. Notch sensitivity
When the component is overloaded and there is a small amount of fiber breakage, the load is rapidly distributed on the undamaged fiber and the mechanical equilibrium is reached again. This is not comparable to metal components.
6, low thermal conductivity, small expansion coefficient
The thermal stress generated when there is a temperature difference is much smaller than the metal.
7, excellent UV resistance and aging resistance
In non-metallic materials, fiber-reinforced polyester materials have excellent anti-aging properties. The anti-aging performance test shows that the use of different locations, the climatic zone is different, the surface of the maximum aging thickness of 20 years less than 50μm. The minimum thickness of most cases is 5mm, which is less than 1% of the thickness of the box, so there is no obvious effect on the mechanical properties of the box. The outside company has adopted a special UV-resistant surface treatment process to further strengthen its aging resistance.
8, long service life
The history of use in Europe can prove that its service life is at least 20 years or more; after a simulated aging test, its service life is more than 20 years, far exceeding the traditional materials such as metals. Some companies that use such materials to produce pipes also claim that their pipes have a useful life of 50 years.
9, flame retardant, smoke-free, non-toxic
This material is a flame-retardant material with a flame retardancy rating of FV0 (the highest grade of non-metallic materials) and a smoke level of 15 (smoke grade 1 to 100) at high temperature, and the smoke is non-toxic. , toxicity level is ZA1 (quasi-safety level).
