Mitsubishi Industrial Robots
Since 1982, Mitsubishi Electric has been developing robotic solutions, with its industrial robots primarily focused on small-scale applications. The newly launched MELFAF series represents a significant advancement, capable of handling loads ranging from 3KG to 20KG. The vertical multi-joint model can lift between 2KG and 12KG. The robot’s range of motion has been expanded from ±127° to ±170°, significantly increasing its working space and enabling full-angle movement.
Equipped with 2D and 3D vision sensors, the MELFAF series allows for efficient 2D and 3D object recognition through image monitoring. It also features a force sensor, which enables precise pressure monitoring—ideal for complex plug-in assembly tasks in the precision electronics industry. This makes the robot more accurate and user-friendly.
Powered by Mitsubishi’s self-developed motors, high-rigidity arms, and advanced drive control technology, the MELFAF series offers a 31% reduction in standard cycle time compared to previous S-series models. It also boasts 1.7 times the handling capacity and twice the lifting speed of earlier generations. The MELFAF series will be available in the Chinese market in the second half of this year, marking a new milestone in industrial robotics.
