Mexico releases new energy efficiency standard for LED bulbs

The Ministry of Energy of Mexico issued a mandatory technical regulation NOM-030-ENER-2012 on June 22, 2012, establishing new minimum energy efficiency standards, test procedures, sampling, and conformity assessment for light emitting diode (LED) bulbs for general lighting applications. And labeling requirements. The standard will require that A, BT, P, PS, and T type integrated all-round LED bulbs and undeclared shape LED bulbs must meet the minimum illumination intensity of 50 to 55 lumens per watt (The Department of Energy originally proposed a minimum illumination intensity of 50 to 60 lumens per watt); BA, C, CA, F, and G type integrated all-round LED bulbs must meet the minimum illumination intensity of 40 lumens per watt; for AR11, BR, ER, MR, PAR, and R type directional LED bulbs If the bulb diameter is not greater than 6.35 centimeters, the minimum illumination intensity of 40 lumens per watt must be met, and the minimum illumination intensity of bulbs exceeding 6.35 centimeters in diameter is 45 lumens per watt.

The total luminous flux (Luminous flux) measurement of the directional and integrated LED bulbs shall not be less than 90% of the standard value on the product label. In addition, the lamp with a service life of not less than 15,000 hours has a minimum sustained luminous flux of 83.2%, and the lamp with a service life of 50,000 hours or more has a sustained load luminous flux of 95.8%. In addition, the LED bulb must meet the relevant color temperature value of 2700 to 6500. LED bulbs are also required to comply with many other regulations and test procedures, including temperature-difference and opening and closing tests.

In addition, the standard requires LED bulbs to be marked with the product name, brand, vendor information, or certain electronic information (such as regular input voltage, frequency, power, power factor, and current) and date or code that determines the date of manufacture. Packaging must include information such as the name and address of the country of origin, domestic manufacturer or importer, certain electronic specification information, lamp type, and spatial distribution of the light source.

The regulation will take effect on August 21, 2012. Both imported and domestic LED bulbs must meet all applicable requirements by October 20.

-Overload protection protects the cable from excess current. Circuit breakers trip when the protective device inserted in the device exceeds this level. Power strips for overload protection usually have no power indicator, but they have a reset switch that allows the strip to resume operation after an overload has caused it to trip.

- Master Switch controls power to the outlets on the power bar.

- Multiple Outlets allowing you to plug in multiple electrical devices.

- Qualified Power Cord allowing you extend the outlet 6ft (2 meters) away from the wall or even further.

- pure PC/ABS flame retardant housing.
