Beijing Dongwei launches Silicon MEMS microphone sensitivity adjustable interface circuit

21ic News Beijing Dongwei Century Technology Co., Ltd. announced that it has successfully developed and launched a new and original Silicon MEMS microphone interface circuit - EMT6904. Designed for low-power microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) microphones, the chip delivers superior audio signal quality by adjusting the sensitivity of the microphone to its ideal state. The EMT6904 adopts Beijing Dongwei's proprietary technology to easily adjust the sensitivity of the packaged Silicon microphone, which promotes the perfect combination of MEMS technology and audio applications.

The original EMT6904 chip is designed with 3 pins, and the sensitivity of the packaged MEMS microphone can be adjusted through the “output” pin. The sensitivity adjustment range is ±5dB. The chip is fabricated in a standard CMOS process and is small in size, adding the sensitivity of the Silicon MEMS microphone to the system without affecting the overall size and wiring of the system. The EMT6904 operates at less than 110uA, has a power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) greater than 70dB, and has a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) greater than 58dB.

The EMT6904 can be used to provide uniform balanced microphone sensitivity between different batches, different vendors, and different grades of Silicon MEMS microphones, dramatically improving system audio performance and extending the range of MEMS microphone applications.
