AECOM, the world's leading provider of comprehensive infrastructure services, announced that it has signed a cooperation framework agreement with HTC, an innovative leader in smart mobile devices and virtual reality (VR) technology, to jointly develop and promote VR technology to advance construction, engineering and construction (AEC ) The development of the industry.

The Vive FOCUS, a high-end VR integrated device for the Chinese market, will be the first product to be beta-tested under the framework agreement of the two parties and will be newly established in Taiwan. Vive FOCUS will be the first public display at the Vive Developer Summit (VDC2017). Tested in a virtual reality lab. The lab is expected to incubate a series of future innovations, such as the virtual reality display of various possibilities and benefits offered by architectural, engineering and construction professionals in the planning, construction and maintenance of physical structures. These contents will be displayed on special service portals dedicated to the AEC industry and will be used to promote widespread adoption of virtual reality technology across professional groups.
