Stormwind TV has officially unveiled its latest innovation: the "Storm AI Screenless TV" brand, with the first product being the "Storm AI No Screen TV Max6." This new device represents a bold evolution in home entertainment, blending the concept of projectors with advanced AI technology to deliver an immersive viewing experience.
Unlike traditional projectors, the Storm AI No Screen TV Max6 offers more than just projection—it's a smart, AI-powered system that adapts to user preferences. While brands like Extreme Meters and imea have previously introduced similar products, Storm has taken it a step further by integrating AI into every aspect of the device. The result is a 120-inch virtual screen that can be projected anywhere, making it ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, or even outdoor spaces.
The Max6 features a sleek design crafted by the Red Dot Gold-winning team, with a combination of grid and ivory color schemes. Inside, it houses a powerful 1.8GHz 64-bit processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. It also supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1, along with a phase-change cooling system that ensures optimal performance during long usage.
In terms of optical performance, the Max6 boasts a brightness of 1000 ANSI lumens and a 1080p resolution. Its free-form surface concentrator system, Swiss filter (98% efficiency), and dual-spot imaging system (90% light utilization) ensure sharp and vibrant images. The convolution-based optical shaping system delivers 90% optical uniformity, ensuring consistent image quality across the entire screen.
The device uses a 2.7 cm² DMD chip with 2.07 million 5.4-micron reflectors, allowing precise control over each pixel’s brightness and color. The spherical surface spectroscopic prism provides a contrast ratio of 750:1, while the optical imaging system achieves a resolution of 120 lines per mm. The imaging distortion rate is less than 1%, delivering a near-perfect picture.
Powered by OSRAM LED light sources, the Max6 has a lifespan of 30,000 hours. It also features a large F1.8 aperture and a 7-layer lanthanide series lens with a transmittance ratio of 1.2:1. The device supports both vertical and horizontal trapezoidal correction, as well as remote autofocus, making setup quick and easy.
Storm’s left-eye engine enhances streaming media quality, claiming a 30% improvement in definition. Combined with the company’s sixth-generation picture enhancement engine, the Max6 delivers a cinema-like experience right at home.
For audio, the Max6 utilizes theater stereo 2.0 technology, featuring a sealed large cavity inverting tube, curvature stroke inverting tube, neodymium iron boron magnets, and a Texas Instruments amplifier. It supports Dolby and DTS dual decoding, offering rich and immersive sound. The audio system was fine-tuned by a team known as “golden ears,†ensuring top-tier listening quality.
The Storm AI No Screen TV Max6 also introduces Storm AI 2.0, which enables personalized content delivery through natural language interaction. It supports multi-task processing, continuous learning, and intelligent content layout. This makes it not just a TV, but a smart home assistant that evolves with the user.
To further strengthen its AI capabilities, Storm has appointed Professor Feng Yan from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as Chief Scientific Advisor. A joint laboratory has also been established to drive future innovations in AI and display technologies.
Priced at 3,999 yuan, the Max6 is now available for pre-order. Customers who pre-order will get a 100 yuan discount, plus a 200 yuan refund upon review. With additional JD.com discounts, the final price starts at 3,649 yuan. The official launch begins at midnight on November 11, making it a must-have for tech enthusiasts and early adopters alike.
