(Nasdaq: QRVO), a leading provider of RF solutions for mobile applications, infrastructure and aerospace and defense applications, today announced industry-leading efficiency and fitness A new family of power amplifiers (PAs) for small cell base station applications. Small cell solutions increase the capacity of mobile networks and are a key part of improving network performance.

The TQP9309, TQP9321 and TQP9326 product families cover all major 3GPP bands in the 700 - 2700 MHz frequency range. In fact, each product delivers more than 27 dBm of output power over a wide operating frequency range and can be used in multiple frequency bands for different regions of the world.
Earl Lum, president of EJL Wireless Research, said: "The TQP93xx product line is very flexible, allowing small cellular customers to achieve multi-band support in a compact space. We believe that in order to successfully deploy small cells, they must support multi-band, multi-RAT and MIMO."
These multi-stage PAs offer high gain and are available in a small surface mount package that requires very few external components to operate, resulting in a very compact system design. Up to 27% power added efficiency (PAE) at 27 dBm output power; linearized 20 MHz LTE signals meet base station PA requirements of -50 dBc ACLR. The high efficiency of these power amplifiers makes small cell base stations more suitable for Power over Ethernet (POE) applications. The Qorvo TQP93xx is available now in volume production.
