Japanese manufacturer Sharp has released a total of eight DX series LED backlight AQUOS LCD TVs, which are expected to be launched in Japan between May and June 2010. The company said that the new product size is 32-inch, 40-inch, 46-inch and 52-inch. The initial monthly output of new products ranges from 3,000 to 40,000 units, optimistic about the development of LED-backlit LCD TVs.
Earlier, in early 2010, Sharp announced that it launched the world's first LED-backlit LCD TV with YRGB4 primary color filters in the US and Europe in March 2010, in order to generate LCD TV revenues in the US and Europe compared to 2009.
